IDEAL - Enabling accessibility
Our employee resource group name IDEAL stands for Individuals Dedicated to Enabling Accessibility in Life. We are committed to supporting people with disabilities at Nokia and in the wider community, and to raising awareness about disabilities.
Our group addresses disability issues, acts as a resource for employees and management, and assists in the removal of barriers to ensure accessibility for all at Nokia.

Promoting inclusion, driving business
Our mission is two-fold. We aim to help sustain Nokia as a best-in-class company worldwide by leveraging the unique ideas, perspectives, talents, solutions, and innovations that people with disabilities contribute. We also endeavor to create an inclusive professional environment that embraces diversity and strives for quality and excellence by supporting all employees to realize their full potential through education, awareness, and increased accessibility.
Reaching out to the community
IDEAL membership is open to all Nokia employees and contractors who support our mission. People with or without disabilities are welcome to join our group. We also partner with our company’s other employee resource groups on corporate-wide activities.
To benefit people with disabilities more broadly, our group participates in community service activities, such as “Walk MS” and the “Walk to End Alzheimer’s”. We are proud to organize “Team Nokia” walk teams across the USA to raise funds to end Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer’s.
