Network to foster opportunities for women
Nurture growth
The vision for Our Greenhouse is to help women move forward in their careers and to close the gender gap at work. Based in Munich, Germany, we are a professional women’s network consisting of female Nokia employees as well as external members, working to create more opportunities for women. We believe that the world will be an even better place when more women are in leading positions.
Making the world a better place
With the focus on regional activities, we are a very agile employee resource group when it comes to prioritizing and carrying out activities. Our goals are:
- To discover, unveil, foster, and grow women’s potential
- To enrich our skills via workshops, informal chats, and network extensions
- To encourage women to apply for job opportunities and advance in their careers
- To perceive "empowered women in leadership roles" as the new norm
Adding business value through diversity
We arrange workshops, events, and chat channels to develop our members’ skills and share experiences and common interest stories. By including the external members in our activities, we can broaden the range of experiences, role models, and learning we have access to.
Our annual event is designed to encourage networking with peers. Therefore, we select a single theme for the panel discussions and group sessions, ending the event with the opportunity to interact informally with the other participants. Recent event topics have included understanding the Metaverse, personal branding, and sustainability.
For the workshops, the range of topics we cover throughout the year is much wider – anything from helping women to get ahead at work, creativity and career development to technology, work-life balance, and soft skills. One of our recent workshops aimed at encouraging women to consider coaching to advance their careers.
To strongly foster strategic networking at Nokia, we cooperate with StrongHer at other Nokia sites.
