Hackathon and Open Day
A few weeks ago we invited students from secondary schools to participate in an online programming championship.
The three tasks were to write a classic Snake game, a card game called Dobble (which is very fun to play in real life but can be difficult to put into code), and last but not least, a pizza-ordering chatbot.
The authors of the best solutions were recognized during the awarding ceremony in our office. We spent a wonderful afternoon with many ambitious and curious young Talents, showing them our laboratory, Garage Lab and of course the office itself.
Girls’ Day
At Nokia, we’re committed to nurturing the talent of the next generation, especially when it comes to STEM education and supporting women in technology.
Take a look at a video from Girls’ Day at Nokia - a national career orientation day for high school girls, co-organized by the Association of Women in Science. During the event, participants could learn about the future of telecommunication networks, participate in an exciting workshop in the Nokia Garage Lab, get an insight into our modern office building, and get useful career advice from our colleagues.
