At Nokia, we are committed to nurturing a gender-equal environment, a culture free of biases, stereotypes and discrimination. Each year, International Women's Day becomes an occasion for us to inspire collaborative change and demonstrate accountability in fostering an inclusive future for women.
This year’s celebration is all about a call to take bold leaps towards breaking barriers and challenging prejudices. As part of our commitment, we are excited to announce the Student Hackathon 'Accelerate Her in Tech' designed to Accelerate Action for gender equality in technology, particularly among students.
This multi-phased student Hackathon themed around networking and software, aims to inspire innovation by empowering students to enhance their coding skills. It’s an opportunity for students of all genders to demonstrate their potential while supporting the advancement of women in technology.

Who can sign up?
This initiative is specially designed for female and male students at colleges that Nokia considers for hiring and engagement.
Eligibility Criteria:
- B.Tech, MCA, or M.Tech students from CS, IT, ECE, and related branches
- Graduation year: 2026
- Minimum 65% marks in the highest education
- No active backlogs
Key dates in the journey ahead
- Registration Begins - February 26th
- Round 1: D-Code - March 8th
- Round 2: Code Hunt - March 21st to 23rd
- Event Finale – Last week of April*

The objective of the hackathon is to foster inclusivity and equity, hence we encourage male students to participate as allies & advocates of gender diversity.
No, you do not have to pay anything to register or participate in the hackathon.
Invites will be directly sent to Training and Placement centres of selected colleges, you may check with your Training & Placement Officers for more details.
The first two rounds of the hackathon will be conducted virtually. The mode of the Finale will be communicated later to the finalists.
Yes! The first two rounds of the hackathon are only for individual participation. However, in the finale, we may form teams.
Our technical partner for this hackathon is HackerEarth. There is a dedicated helpdesk available to assist participants on the HackerEarth Platform.
There is no restriction to use any language, technology stack, or libraries. You can use any of them during the hackathon.
The participants will get to know the results on the HackerEarth Platform; emails will be sent to the participants and the respective Training & Placement Officers.
Just participation is not enough, the top performers of the hackathon will earn an exclusive opportunity to interview for our Nokia Internship Program 2026.
The Intern hiring process post-hackathon would include a series of interviews, candidates must meet our eligibility criteria at the time of selection process.
Our Early Careers Team will be in touch with the respective placement officers and the candidates during the hiring process.
