Working Student program

Working Student is a long-term internship, lasting usually from 6 to 12 months. You can apply for this program at any time of the year.

As a Working Student, you can experience working in areas corresponding to full-time engineering jobs. We offer you part-time opportunities and flexible working hours so that you can combine work with your studies.

The recruitment process is quite easy - it only consists of an interview and an online test with practical technical tasks for some positions.

Recruitment process

The steps may differ depending on the specific requirements of each role, but here is a general outline of the typical Early Career recruitment process:

  2. CV pre-screening conducted by our Talent Attraction Teams
  3. Online Technical Assessment (60 - 90 minutes)
  4. Nokia Talent Discovery Online Assessment (45 minutes)
  5. Job Interview (60-90 minutes)
  6. Decision

Summer Trainee program

The apprenticeship lasts from July to September.

It is intended for candidates who have completed at least the second year of their studies specializing in computer science, telecommunications, automation, robotics or similar. We also welcome candidates who study other fields but have knowledge of the area covered by the apprenticeship and who are passionate about the topics of telecommunications.

After the apprenticeship, you have the possibility to stay with us as a Working Student.

Nokia Academy

The Nokia Academy is a series of intensive, free-of-charge pieces of training and workshops conducted by specialists from Nokia. The main goal of this initiative is to give participants the opportunity to develop the set of skills necessary for the role of Software Tester or C++ Developer.

Over the course of 2 months, you’ll gain knowledge that will allow you to start your professional journey in the IT area - the best Nokia Academy participants will receive a job offer and will have the opportunity to further develop and gain work experience at Nokia.

Innovative Projects

Do you want to get more programming know-how and professional experience? Or maybe you are bored with academic projects which end on a bookshelf? Sign up for Innovative Projects, a cooperation between Nokia and universities. For each academic semester, we announce a list of topics which students can implement during their lectures or free time, with the support of a tutor from Nokia.
