Davos-Klosters - Davos-Klosters, Switzerland

The WEF Annual Meeting 2022 convenes at the most consequential geopolitical and geo-economic moment of the past decades and against the backdrop of a once-in-a-century pandemic.

World political, business, media and civil society leaders are gathering in Switzerland to connect, share insights, gain fresh perspectives and – most importantly – collaborate to tackle global issues.

A few highlights of interest:

  • A live panel will take place on Tuesday, 24 May 10 am CET with Pekka Lundmark and other industry leaders. Pekka will share insights on how the digital economy can build shared value and socially inclusive and environmentally sustainable economic growth.
  • Debates on the world's most urgent challenges including the ongoing global pandemic, the war in Ukraine, geo-economic shocks and climate change.
  • WEF’s selection of examples of how companies are accelerating digital solutions to deliver business and sustainability outcomes; including a Nokia private wireless network used to create an intelligent, ultra-efficient energy microgrid for Siemens campus in Vienna, Austria.
  • WEF’s Edison Alliance aims to foster digital opportunities for everyone by 2025. Pekka is a champion of this initiative. Nokia has set a target to improve the lives of 1.5 million people by 2025 through socially-driven digitalization projects, digital skill building, and connecting the unconnected or underserved. It will count towards the 1 Billion Lives Challenge to improve lives through affordable and accessible digital solutions across health, finance, and education by 2025.
