Segment routing IPv6 (SRv6) is emerging in edge telco cloud data centre use cases as well as new IPv6 backbone use cases. It provides a powerful network programmability framework that takes advantage of the large IPv6 address space. This application note focuses on the capabilities, principal use cases and benefits of SRv6 on Nokia routing platforms.
