Nokia Bell Labs in Oulu is co-located with the Oulu factory and Mobile Networks R&D. The Oulu site, “home of radio”, combines radio research, development and manufacturing under the same roof in a very unique way, and is one of the leading radio research hot spots in the world. The Oulu Bell Labs team together with the colleagues from Nokia Standards have a key expertise in 5G standardization, air interface, massive MIMO, radio protocols, AI/ML and E2E. The local Nokia teams hold strong collaborations with University of Oulu including the national 6G flagship program.
