Location profile

Stuttgart is one of the key Nokia Bell Labs research sites. Our main research focus is on developing breakthrough technologies for wireless and fiber-based access, network virtualization and control, software automation and artificial intelligence.

We are collaborating with the University of Stuttgart, a member of the Bell Labs distinguished academic partner program and a leading technically oriented university in Germany with a worldwide reputation. As a full member of ARENA2036, we are innovating with the local ecosystem in the research factory for mobility and production of the future, contributing the latest industrial communication technology from Nokia.

Stuttgart is the capital of the southwest German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg and is home to the headquarters of leading global companies such as Daimler-Benz, Porsche, Bosch and Trumpf. Regarded as the economic engine of Europe, the region offers a broad field for cooperation on economically relevant opportunities in research and industry. Our office is located close to the city center and can be easily reached from the airport using public transport.

The city of Stuttgart has a very high quality of life, making it an excellent place to live and work creatively. It also offers a wide range of cultural activities, leisure events, sports activities and music events.
