1 Tb/s - 4x343 Gb/s superchannels on 50GHz grid - transmission over 480 km SMF with 22 GHz bandwidth semiconductor modulator

A 1 Tb/s option is demonstrated with commercially available transmitter components. A 40Gb/s GaAs I/Q modulator product has been applied at 43 Gbd symbolrate and PM-16QAM modulation. Transmission of 4 subcarriers over ultimate Metro distances yield high margins.
