107-Gbaud PAM-4 Intensity-Modulation Direct-Detection Transceiver for Datacenter Interconnect

We demonstrate an IM/DD PAM-4 optical transceiver operating at 84 and 100 Gbaud, and achieve successful demodulation after 1 km and 500 m of standard single mode fiber, respectively. Finally, we push the baud rate at 107-GBd PAM-4 only in back to back configuration. Electrical generation is enabled by an integrated high-speed selector power DAC.
