107-Tb/s optical fiber transmission of 103nm bandwidth over 300-km SSMF using ultra-wideband hybrid Raman/SOA repeaters

We report on the transmission of 254 PCS-64QAM 50-GHz spaced channels over three spans of 100 km of SSMF using ultra-wideband technologies. Combining the use of backward Raman pumping together with semiconductor optical technology, we demonstrate the transmission of continuous 103-nm optical bandwidth with a total capacity of 107 Tb/s.
