140G/70G Direct Detection PON with>37 dB Power Budget and 40-km Reach Enabled by Colorless Phase Retrieval Full Field Recovery

We demonstrate a 140G/70G PON with over 37-dB optical power budget and 40-km reach employing phase retrieval direct detection receivers which are low-cost and colorless ensuring compatibility with upstream burst-mode transmission used in current PON systems.
