3 Gb/s Transmission Circuits on a CBIC(R) Linear Array

Five silicon optical transmission circuits, operating up to 3.5 Gb/s, have been fabricated on a CBIC-V(R) linear array with dielectrically isolated sidewall PNPs and NPNs. A 1.7 Gb/s laser driver with 100 mA modulation also demonstrated the new technology capability.
