4 x 4 DEMONSTRATION OF A 1.2 Tb/s (32 x 40 Gb/s) OPTICAL SWITCH FABRIC FOR MULTI-Tb/s PACKET ROUTERS

We demonstrate error-free, asynchronous packet transmission and fast simultaneous switching on four 40 Gb/s ports in a 32-port optical switch fabric. The sensitivity under switching is better than -3 dBm for all four burst-mode receivers.
