40 Gb/s XPM based all-optical retiming using filtered clock signals from a quantum-dash fabry-perot laser

The implications of the number of laser modes in the spectrum of a filtered clock signal on XPM based retiming is investigated in terms of SBS suppression, spectral broadening and timing jitter.
