53 ps pulses at 1.32 micrometers from a harmonic mode-locked Nd:YAG laser.

We have generated 53 ps pulses at 1/32micron with an average power of 1.5 W by second harmonic mode-locking of a cw Nd:YAG laser. The pulse repetition rate can be adjusted to either 100 MHz or 200 MHz by cavity length changes of less than ~10micron. Short term fluctuations in pulse intensity were less than +- 2%.
