5G Hype and Realities

5G is touted as the next great thing in wireless communications, coming your way any day now. This talk will discuss the likely 5G use cases (and which ones are unlikely) and the challenges and opportunities afforded. With new frequency bands come new challenges, and conventional base station architectures need to change to meet the challenges. Some of the architecture conclusions will be presented although further refinements are expected as customers and markets further discover their needs - and decide what can be afforded.
