7-a2 rotary automatic telephone system
01 July 1933
This paper is Part II and deals with the manner in which the apparatus is employed to form a complete switching unit. The finders employed have 200 outlets, and no secondary finders are necessary. This, it is claimed, decreases maintenance, reduces floor space and facilitates equipment layout. Cross connecting is not necessary between first and second finders because the 200-line group is large enough to smooth out traffic and obviate unequal loading of finders and final switches. Diagrams of typical layouts, cabling schemes and junction diagrams accompany the paper.
