A 5-mode Amplifier with reduced modal crosstalk for Spatial Mode Multiplexing Transmission with low signal processing complexity

We achieve for the first time 5-modes transmission with an in-line amplifier. This amplifier induces low crosstalk and allows us to transmit a 5x100GB/s PDM-QPSK signal in two spans of 40km-long few mode fibers.
