A 6.2-Vpp 100-Gb/s Selector-Driver Based on a Differential Distributed Amplifier in 0.7-µm InP DHBT Technology
17 June 2012
We report the design and measurement of a differential distributed driver amplifier integrated with a 2:1selector, realized in a 320/380-GHz FT/FMAX 0.7-µm InP technology. The realized Selector-Driver provides a high quality differential signal at 100 Gb/s with up to 6.2 Vpp differential swing for a power consumption of 3.8 W. It is well suited to drive electro-optical modulators for optical communications systems based on binary signaling at 100 GBd.
