A CMOS Associative Memory Chip Based on Neural Networks.
01 January 1987
We designed and tested a collective computing associative memory chip with an architecture based on a model for a neural network. It consists of an array of 54 simple processors which are fully interconnected through a network of resistive coupling elements where all the interconnections are programmable. With 9 vectors stored in the network associative recall is obtained in times between 20 ns and 600 ns.
