A Code-Aided Expectation-Maximization Algorithm for 32 Gbaud PolDM-16QAM Transmission Nonlinear-Phase Noise Compensation

We propose an algorithm to mitigate optical nonlinearity. It utilizes both the time correlation of nonlinearity, and a soft-decision error control code to achieve an optical signal to noise ratio gain of 0.3 dB and a launch power gain of 2 dB.
