A Comparison of Brushing and Rotation

Brushing and rotation are two dynamic graphical methods for studying multidimensional data. We implemented the methods on a high-performance graphics workstation to study their properties by using them in the analysis of a large number of data sets. In the talk, we describe the features of the methods that we have found useful during data analysis and the data analytic tasks for which each method has particular strengths.
