A Comparison of Various Models for Ligand Recombination Kinetics of Myglobin
The dynamics of ligand binding to biological molecules is important to our understanding of biological processes. The experimental approach has classically been to measure the time course of the reaction rate by monitoring a spectroscopic marker. The data are then fit with an expression containing a multiplicity of exponentials since only simple cases, such as radioactive decay, can be adequately described by a single exponential process.
