A Description of the AT&T KORBXTM Linear Programming System

Over the past two and a half years AT&T has been developing the KORBEX(TM) System: a large-scale implementation of Karmarkar's algorithm on a parallel-vector mini-super computer. In this session we will discuss the technical achievements of the KORBX System in four parts: (1) system architecture; (2) linear programming algorithms implemented; (3) parallel-vector computational considerations; and (4) performance on solving large linear programs.
