A Description of the AT&T KORBX(TM) System

Over the past two and a half years AT&T has been developing the KORBX(TM) System: a large-scale implementation of Karmarkar's algorithm on a parallel-vector mini-super computer. In this session we will discuss the technical achievements of the KORBX System in four parts:(1) system architecture;(2)linear programming algorithms implemented;(3)parallel- vector computational considerations; and (4)performance on solving large linear programs.(KORBX is a trademark of AT&T.)
