A High Speed Oversampled Sigma-Delta Modulator

New Image

The thesis describes the design of a high speed first order oversampled sigma-delta modulator that can be used as part of a Digital-to- Analog converter. To achieve the high frequency of operation, the circuit is implemented with AT&T high speed complimentary bipolar technology (CBIC-U). The modulator consists of a transconductance amplifier for signal intergration, a master-slave Flip-Flop for the two level quantizer, and a current switching circuit for pulse intergration in the feedback loop.
