A Logic Controlled HVIC Combining DMOS and GTO Switches, an NMOS Relay Driver and A CMOS Comparator for Telecommunication Applications

This paper describes a high-voltage integrated circuit designed to replace three mechanical relays, a relay driver and a comparator. The switches are controlled by pin-programmable, TTL compatible CMOS logic. The control circuitry for the DMOS is designed to provide short circuit protection. Dielectric Isolation and a BCDMOS (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS) process are utilized in the design of this circuit. The devices and circuits used will be discussed.
