A Microprocessor-Controlled Single-Chip Telephone IC

A single-chip, microprocessor-controlled telephone integrated circuit has been develped for high-end applications. The design incorporates complementary bipolar and buried injector logic technologies to perform all of the telephone functions: AC and DC loop termination, voice frequency transmission and reception, DTMF signal generation, ring detection, and alerting signal generation.
