A Model For the Curing Reaction of Epoxy Resins.

A parametric formula describing the curing reaction of crosslinkable polymers that is based on the interdependence of the reaction rate and the relaxation time is presented. A computer program developed for this study has been found useful in designing the curing process and in predicting the viscoelastic properties of the cured resins. The processing variables which directly affect product reliability can be accurately estimated by this technique.
