01 June 1988
DASH - (lapD Adapter for Spyder-t Hdlc channels) is a VLSI protocol controller designed to perform the LAPD protocol when used in combination with a SPYDER-T device. SPYDER-T provides up to 32 time-division-multiplexed independent HDLC channels. DASH performs the complete LAPD level 2 protocol (Q.921) on each of the 32 independent HDLC channels. The full range of LAPD logical channels is supported on each SPYDER-T channel. A total of up to 256 logical channels may be simultaneously active, spread arbitrarily among the independent HDLC channels.
