A Multivariate Voicing Decision Rule Adapts To Noise, Distortion, and Spectral Shaping

This paper presents a new approach to making voiced/unvoiced decisions. The voicing rule is very accurate and can dynamically adapt to a wide variety of environments. An overview of related solutions and the mathematical derivation of a new algorithm are presented. The behavior of the technique under various conditions is described and results of extensive testing are reported.
