A new 30-kW short-wave radio transmitting equipment for S. America

Six units are assembled as required for the following purposes and range of operation: 5.7-22 Mc./s.; crystal or self-excitation; c.w. or m.c.w. telegraphy, or telephony; 1 or 30 kW on telegraphy or 9 kW on telephony, or feeding into a balanced transmission line of 600 Omega. The units comprise a r.f. driver, power amplifier, 3 kV rectifier, 10 kV rectifier, speech amplifier and modulator. Block diagrams are given.
