A Novel Ferroelectric SBN Ceram-Glass Tellurite

We report a new ceram-glass we have developed based on the SBN ferroelectic crystallites precipitated in tellurite glass matrix. The precipitated crystallites exhibit a high structural perfection as determined by the x-ray diffraction and a good electro-optic coefficient as measured by the light scattering. These ferroelectric ceram-glasses may find interesting new applications in photonic devices.
