A practical approach to dielectric resonator oscillator design.

This memorandum is the transcript of a talk the author gave at the Modern Microwave Oscillator Design Techniques Workshop in connection with the 1985 MTT-S International Microwave Symposium in St. Louis, Missouri. The first part is the brief summary of an oscillator design method the author had published earlier. The second part is the application of the method for the design of a 6-GHz dielectric resonator oscillator (DRO). The oscillator described is a member of a DRO product line developed for digital radio systems.
