A REFLECT ARRAY ANTENNA IN KA BAND WITH MEMS CONTROL

A reflectarray antenna is an emerging technology for reconfigurable antenna at moderate cost. The active element of the steerable reflectarray antenna in Ka band was developed using MEMS switches are presented in this paper. This array is composed of planar elements reflecting the incident wave with a phase shift controlled through either by diodes or by miniature switches (MEMS). It is consequently possible to steer and form a beam by controlling the phase shift of the elements. An active cell was implemented and led to the proper measurement and simulation.
