A Simple Wilson Orthonormal Basis With Exponential Decay

Following a basic idea of Wilson [15] we construct orthonormal bases for L sup 2 (R) of the type PSI mn(x) = f sub m (x-n), n epsilon Z, m Epsilon N{0} where the Fourier transform f sub m of f sub m has two peaks, situated near alpha m and -alpha m.
