A new UHV x-ray beamline for surface-EXAFS studies has been constructed at the 2.5 GeV storage ring at Brookhaven National Laboratory, USA. Its design has specifically taken into account problems inherent in other beamlines. These problems have been minimized or eliminated and desirable features expanded.
