A Study of the Magnetic and Optical Properties of Single Grains of Ba sub 2 YCu sub e O sub (x) Superconductor Using the Electrodynamic Balance
It is well known that the superconducting properties of the Ba sub 2 YCu sub 3 O sub (x) superconductor are strongly dependent on the oxygen content, x, in the material. The effect of grain size on the superconducting properties has not been determined yet. In this talk the application of the electrodynamic balance to probe the magnetic as well as optical properties of single superconducting grains varying in size, in both the normal and the superconducting state, will be demonstrated.
