A Systems Model for the Representation of Expert Comprehension of Electronic Switching System's Software Programs
01 January 1988
This dissertation examines the construction of a Software Systems Model for the AT&T 5ESS (R) Switch software systems. The problem is that the comprehension of Electronic Switching Systems software design is a function of multiple abstractions in the minds of the software developers. It involves seeing the multiple interfaces among the parts simultaneously and modifying the developer's Mental Model as one tries to comprehend.
