A theoretical analysis of mmWave propagation in copper access cables

In this talk, we will assess the potential of using millimeter-wave propagation in copper access networks. We will shed some light on the mm-wave waveguide mode structures in both twisted-pair (telephone) and coaxial (TV) networks, and will address some of the challenges related to exploiting such copper access cables as millimeter-wave waveguides.
