A tunable ultra-narrowband filter for subcarrier processing and optical monitoring

A tunable filter is presented that can operate on multiple tones while providing power complementary output responses and adjustable isolation. A triple-band filter with sub-GHz bandwidth and peak isolation of 25 dB was attained and sub-milliwatt thermo-optic power switching demonstrated.
