A Unified Distributed Computing Environment for CAE/CAD

For a computing environment to be attractive to CAE/CAD tool developers and users it must provide a common environment across all hardware. The features required for this environment are: a common operating system with virtual memory, efficient high-level language compilers, efficient networking over a wide range of hardware to provide a distributed environment, and support for high performance graphics.
