A Versatile Finite State Machine Synthesizer

This paper describes a synthesis tool, named the FSM Synthesizer, for the design of finite state machines. The input to the FSM Synthesizer can be either a textual or a graphical specification for a finite state machine; the output can be an implementation in polycells, Programmable Array Logic (PAL), or Programmable Logic Array (PLA).
