Absolute Cross Sections for Electron Impact Ionization of Atoms

New Image

A set of absolute cross sections for electron impact ionization of 27 atoms has been measured from threshold to 200 eV. Atoms measured here for the first time are Fe, Si, Ge, Sn, P, As, Sb, Bi, Se, and Te. Atoms for which previous data exist are Mg, Cu, Ag, Al, Ga, In, Pb, S, the rare gases, and the halogens. In addition, 21 double ionization and 14 triple ionization cross sections have been measured up to 200 eV, most for the first time.
