ACCUNET(R) Switched 56 Service
01 January 1986
AT&T's new ACCUNET(R) Switched 56 Service provides a nationwide 56-kilobits-per-second circuit-switched digital transmission service using the capabilities of the network. Major customer applications for this service include computer-to-computer communictions and teleconferencing. Initially, special access connects the customer to an AT&T serving office. New capabilities for local service and plans to evolve to ISDN will increase the flexibility and value of the service.
