Achieving End to End Diversity over ASON Architecture

A novel mechanism has been proposed in this paper to setup diverse connections across ASON networks. Two connections share no common links or transport network elements, enabling complete end to end diversity over ASON architecture that including UNI diversity, E-NNI diversity and diversity inside vendor¡¯s transport network. The proposed mechanism also pays attention to the network security by restricting intra topological information in the vendor¡¯s transport network.
