Achieving Flexible, Deterministic, Scalable Communication in Converged Industrial Networks

For factory scale coverage of Time Sensitive Networks (TSN) we propose Dynamic Deterministic Networks (DDN) as optical backbone of a converged industrial network. DDN tunnels the time critical traffic of multiple independent TSN domains together with best effort IT traffic. We show the improved scalability and demonstrate experimentally its feasibility.
