Acoustic Sounding As A Means of Terrestrial Line-Of-Sight Microwave Propagation Study
01 January 1987
A monostatic Doppler sodar together with a 63-m meteorological tower located in Georgia is used to probe the lower atmosphere that effects propagation in terrestrial line-of-sight microwave transmission. This system provides he essential data needed for analysis of regional fading characteristics and meets the requirements of continuous and unattended monitoring for a radio performance improvement study.
